Dr. Robbie J. Harris, III
Dr. Harris specializes in oral and maxillofacial surgery and is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He attended the University of Oklahoma at Norman for his undergraduate studies and entered professional school in 2007. He received his Doctorate degree from University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston in 2011 where he was elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. He then went on to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN where he completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical training in June 2015, serving as Chief Resident his fourth and final year. Dr. Harris then spent time with a great group of “very compassionate” surgeons in Tuscaloosa, Al of which he feels very “blessed” to have been a part of.
Harris Played safety for the Oklahoma Sooners, under Coach Bob Stoops, and was on the Big XII Commissioner’s Honor Roll. He has co-authored multiple professional publications and is the lead author of a textbook chapter, chapter 23, in “Anesthesia Considerations for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon,” At Vanderbilt, he was trained in the traditional as well as the most technologically advanced methods of treatment of the hard and soft tissues of the face including using CT guided Virtual Surgical Planning.
Dr. Harris practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery, facial skin lesions and cosmetics, as well as treatment of maxillofacial trauma, pathology, and reconstruction.
In his spare time, he is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying all types of hunting and fishing. He also enjoys playing golf and following college athletics.
