Meet the Oral and Facial Surgery of Western Kentucky Team

Katelyn brings a decade of management expertise to Oral and Facial Surgery of Western Kentucky, with the most recent year of those ten years being at OFS. Her favorite part of working at OFS is the culture. Dr. Harris and the staff strive to give every patient the utmost care, treating them like an extension of their family. In her free time, you can find her spending time with her family, where she will likely be cheering on her kids, Emma and Camdin, who are the center of her world.

Sandy has been with Oral and Facial Surgery of Western Kentucky for five years now. With her, she brings over forty years of experience to the table, having worked in multiple facets and applications of insurance. Over the years, Sandy has earned several certifications through her continued attendance at insurance classes and educational seminars. As insurance coordinator for OFS, she handles communicating estimates to patients and filing insurance claims too, both of which she does exceptionally well. In Sandy’s free time, she enjoys reading a good book as well as spending lots of time with her family.

Katie has been with OFS since April of 2022. She brings with her four years of experience in oral surgery and is also certified in IV placement. Katie always has a smile on her face and has a caring and compassionate heart. She will always make you feel comfortable and at ease. In her spare time, she enjoys being with family and spending time with her daughter Emmy, who always keeps her laughing. Her favorite part of working at Oral and Facial Surgery of Western Kentucky is being able to just be herself.

Konnie has been with OFS for two years now, and we think it’s safe to say that patients absolutely love her. Whether it be through an act of silliness, or a genuine and warm smile, Konnie will find a way to make you feel at ease, no matter the situation. Her empathetic and kind nature are two of her most pronounced traits, and there is no question that she truly cares about all our patients. In her free time, Konnie enjoys sewing, painting, gardening and spending time with her cats, all of which she considers family. “My favorite part of working at OFS is having the opportunity to really help our patients, all while learning and growing with such a wonderful team and the best oral surgeon. It is a blessing to be able to work with such individuals that are all so caring, and with a surgeon that is so very talented.”

Lucy is our Office Receptionist and has been with OFS since March of 2023. Lucy’s smile is unmistakable and likely one of the first you’ll see when you make your way into our office. And you will no doubt recognize her voice when you call in, as she makes a concerted effort to genuinely connect with anyone who reaches out. Lucy is blessed with twin girls and of course loves to spend time with them and the rest of her family in her free time. When she is not at work or spending time with her family, she admits to a guilty pleasure of what she calls a “Shopping Overhaul.” Let’s just hope she’s not using a Uhaul to bring home the Overhaul! Lucy would be the first to tell you one of her favorite things about working at OFSWKY is the welcoming atmosphere for patients and employees alike!

Lori is our tenured Surgical Assistant who comes to us with years of previous dental experience and works closely with Dr. Harris. Lori is the type of person that can put your mind at ease with her sense of humor or lift your spirits with a warm hug. As you can imagine, Lori is a very empathetic person and is passionate about genuinely connecting with others. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and, of course, the dogs too! Lori is blessed with two daughters, and a grandson as well, all of whom are the WORLD to her. Shortly after Lori started, she made a statement that has stuck with us all here at OFS: “Everyone here is so welcoming and kind…I truly think I’ve found my forever home.” We are glad she’s here with us, for our sake and for yours!

Sara Jones joins us as a Surgical Assistant who will also be working closely with Dr. Harris. With her Kentucky tenure no doubt imparting a strong sense of family values, Sara exudes a sweet and hospitable energy, and while she is soft-spoken and someone who truly cares, she also likes to laugh. When you catch her smiling, there’s a good chance it’s because the patients in the office are happy. She loves to see joy in others, and that’s one of the many reasons we welcomed her into our family at OFS, with open arms! In her free time, she will most often be with her husband and three children, all of whom love to go camping and spend time at the lake.
